The battle of my life

Oddly, I am laughing as always. Such a weird way of starting a blog. I have been struggling with  prayer, lately; also, I have been reading about Isaac and his family, as well as Shem's lineage. The way I have been stuck in studying this subject matter, I just don't want to admit that I am confused. I am even researching historians’ papers on the subject in addition to scripture, as I am utterly clueless. So, to get out of my funk and weird space, I decided to write to you.   I recently came across two unpublished blogs that I wrote in 2020 and 2021. I guess I have been trying to be a blogger for a minute. As I read the blogs, I wondered if I should silently post them or just let them be. I am still thinking about it, but they reminded me of what I would call the “battle of my life”. I once tried to write a blog about this titled ”Diary of a fat girl”. For some odd reason, I am laughing myself into a stupor, woooo (as I fan myself). Anyway, I am merely trying to be as open...

God does not change: He is still the same!

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8 Good day, I was just resting and like most people I began reflecting. I initially thought the previous year was extremely hard but after genuinely introspecting, I realized that the Lord has kept me. I do not take away the ups and downs but despite everything, I was preserved, as well as spared and so were many of us. The things we did not think we would come out of alive; we overcame. The dark tunnels some of us found ourselves within, we either passed through and managed to get out or we finally began to see the end thereof (Light at the end of the tunnel). Yes, some of us are still within the storms, but even then, God is keeping us. Introspecting just made me grateful for / to the Lord, for had He not been by our side, the enemy would have indeed swallowed us. We would not be here or have some sense of sanity. We are alive, sane, sober, intact by the grace of the Living God. As I thought about the year th...

Faith NOT sight

Good day,   I have been thinking about this comprehension for quite some time, perhaps six months if not longer. I struggled to put my thoughts into what I would call ‘comprehendible words.’ Look, it is not a complex matter that I wish to engage about, it is just something that is so simple yet sometimes difficult in application. I initially wanted to title this “the limitations of one’ locus of enunciation” and then I thought why not call a spade a spade; so, I titled it Faith and NOT sight. This is an excerpt from 2 Corinthians 5:7, which simply says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”   So, here are my thoughts   I cannot even begin to tell you what led to this subject between God and I, but it came up and I am grateful. The Word of God is clear and concise about how the children of God ought to live their lives. In Hebrews 10: 38, Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11 we learn that the Just shall live by faith. Now, we know that in Hebrews 11 we are tau...
