You are seen and heard: Lessons from Hagar's encounters with God

Good day   I hope you are doing incredibly well. I am ok. I am just thinking about my life and dreams. I used to be such a dreamer, and for some reason, I have allowed myself to cease dreaming and pursuing the dreams I already had. I need this to change, and so my objective for 2026 is to really work on myself to realise my potential, thus becoming who God created me to be. I no longer want to reflect on my life and be confronted by persistent stagnancy and complacency, as well as excuses. I thank God that my pastor is really dealing with aspects of my life in his teachings. We finished a February 2026 series addressing one’s identity, belonging, purpose, etc. It was called the S.H.A.P.E. series, which aimed to equip believers and cause them to be fit for purpose, as well as walk in their giftings and callings with great confidence - Please check out Cyril Peterson’s YouTube for the messages.   Happy, come back; it is too early for this! Sorry, let me get back to it; I...

Fear, the death of an opportunity

Fear will cause you to withdraw from purpose and miss out on incredible opportunities.   Hi, I hope you are well. Sorry for the long hiatus, hopefully what follows below will provide some context of what has been going on.   I have, over the past few months written four blogs, which are unpublished; this is the fifth blog. I am still contemplating whether to post the others or not, hopefully I will arrive at a decision soon. Anyway, a few weeks ago my pastor offered me an opportunity to share a word on Godly Friendships during our Women’s Wellness Wednesday i.e., our Church’s annual Women’s month initiative. I agreed with immense excitement; it’s obviously something that is dear to my heart i.e., sharing about God, life, etc.   Fast forward to several days later, I went from extremely excited to borderline terrified and anxious about the whole thing. On one hand I was so excited because it is a dream to speak on incredible platforms with people of like minds b...

The battle of my life

Oddly, I am laughing as always. Such a weird way of starting a blog. I have been struggling with  prayer, lately; also, I have been reading about Isaac and his family, as well as Shem's lineage. The way I have been stuck in studying this subject matter, I just don't want to admit that I am confused. I am even researching historians’ papers on the subject in addition to scripture, as I am utterly clueless. So, to get out of my funk and weird space, I decided to write to you.   I recently came across two unpublished blogs that I wrote in 2020 and 2021. I guess I have been trying to be a blogger for a minute. As I read the blogs, I wondered if I should silently post them or just let them be. I am still thinking about it, but they reminded me of what I would call the “battle of my life”. I once tried to write a blog about this titled ”Diary of a fat girl”. For some odd reason, I am laughing myself into a stupor, woooo (as I fan myself). Anyway, I am merely trying to be as open...
