Fear, the death of an opportunity

Fear will cause you to withdraw from purpose and miss out on incredible opportunities.   Hi, I hope you are well. Sorry for the long hiatus, hopefully what follows below will provide some context of what has been going on.   I have, over the past few months written four blogs, which are unpublished; this is the fifth blog. I am still contemplating whether to post the others or not, hopefully I will arrive at a decision soon. Anyway, a few weeks ago my pastor offered me an opportunity to share a word on Godly Friendships during our Women’s Wellness Wednesday i.e., our Church’s annual Women’s month initiative. I agreed with immense excitement; it’s obviously something that is dear to my heart i.e., sharing about God, life, etc.   Fast forward to several days later, I went from extremely excited to borderline terrified and anxious about the whole thing. God does not change: He is still the same!

 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8 Good day, I was just resting and like most people I began reflecting. I initially thought the previous year was extremely hard but after genuinely introspecting, I realized that the Lord has kept me. I do not take away the ups and downs but despite everything, I was preserved, as well as spared and so were many of us. The things we did not think we would come out of alive; we overcame. The dark tunnels some of us found ourselves within, we either passed through and managed to get out or we finally began to see the end thereof (Light at the end of the tunnel). Yes, some of us are still within the storms, but even then, God is keeping us. Introspecting just made me grateful for / to the Lord, for had He not been by our side, the enemy would have indeed swallowed us. We would not be here or have some sense of sanity. We are alive, sane, sober, intact by the grace of the Living God. As I thought about the year th...
